Opt-Out & Cookie Policy
Last Updated: June 30, 2026
1. Introduction
This Opt-Out & Cookie Policy explains how Arin Wallington Counseling, LLC, doing business as Willamette Wellness Center (“WWC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on www.wwcpdx.com (the “Website”), and how you can control the data the Website collects. It supplements our Privacy Policy. Because WWC is a behavioral-health practice, some Website data can be associated with your health, so we give you the controls described below and apply heightened care to it.
Do we “sell” or “share” your data? We do not sell or share your personal information for money. Some cookie-based disclosures to advertising or analytics partners could be characterized as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under some state privacy laws; you can opt out of these at any time using the tools in Section 2. WWC does not sell sensitive personal information or consumer health data, and does not use any marketing technology to sell information that reflects your health-seeking activity.
2. Your Opt-Out Choices
Cookie banner / preference center
When you first visit the Website, our consent banner lets you accept or deny non-essential cookies and set preferences by category (functional, statistics, marketing). You can reopen the “Manage Consent” control at any time to change or withdraw your choices. Statistics and marketing technologies load only after you consent; strictly necessary (functional) cookies are always active.
Universal opt-out signals (Global Privacy Control)
WWC honors recognized browser-based universal opt-out mechanisms, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale/share and targeted advertising for that browser.
Submit a data-rights request
To exercise rights that are not handled through cookie settings — for example, to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your data, to withdraw consent, or to limit the use of sensitive or consumer health data — submit a request using the form on this page or the contact details in Section 7. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and you may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
3. Cookie Categories
We group the technologies on the Website into the following categories:
- Functional (always active): necessary for the Website to work and to remember your preferences and consent choices; set without consent.
- Statistics / analytics: help us understand how the Website is used so we can improve it; set only with your consent.
- Marketing / tracking: build profiles to deliver or measure advertising and to track visits across sites; set only with your consent.
- Social media / embedded content: content embedded from third parties (e.g., Meta) that may place cookies; governed also by those parties’ policies.
4. Technologies Used on the Website
The table below describes the third-party services and cookies currently used on the Website, grouped by category. Exact cookie names and expiration periods are maintained in our consent-management tool and may change; see the note following the table.
5. Managing and Deleting Cookies in Your Browser
You can use your browser settings to delete existing cookies, block new ones, or be warned before a cookie is placed. If you delete cookies, your saved preferences (including opt-outs stored as cookies) may be removed and you may be asked to set them again. Some Website features may not work properly if functional cookies are disabled.
6. Your Rights by State
Your health information is protected by HIPAA, 42 C.F.R. Part 2 (where applicable), Oregon health-privacy and confidentiality laws (Oregon clients) and Washington health-privacy and confidentiality laws (Washington clients).
Washington (My Health My Data Act, chapter 19.373 RCW)
Washington consumers may withdraw consent to our collection and sharing of consumer health data and may request deletion of that data, in addition to confirming and accessing it and obtaining a list of the third parties and affiliates with whom it has been shared (RCW 19.373.040). WWC does not sell consumer health data and does not use health-care-facility geofencing (RCW 19.373.080). See the “Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy” section of our Privacy Policy, which is also linked from our homepage.
Oregon
Oregon’s general consumer-privacy statute (the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, ORS 646A.570–646A.589) applies only to businesses above its volume thresholds (ORS 646A.572), which WWC does not meet, so its consumer-privacy rights do not currently apply. Oregon residents may still contact us to access, correct, or delete data, and may use the cookie controls above.
Residents of other U.S. states may have similar rights; we will honor applicable state-law rights on request.
