Professional Counselor Associate
Hi, my name is Joanna. It’s nice to meet you! My pronouns are She/Her.

What gives us emotional pain or worries us, what impedes us from getting to where we want to be or who we want to become is often a mystery to our conscious minds or seemingly unreachable. Many times we may not understand why we act or feel a certain way, even if we want to.
I specialize in using Internal Family Systems, where together we will unravel the ball of tangled yarn with gentleness; and rather than ‘figuring it out,’ all is illuminated naturally, with grace and ease. Together, we claim your right to healing, love, purpose and belonging. We transform unkind, and untrue beliefs, freeing your natural creativity and a deeper sense of peace and confidence which has always resided within you. It is your birthright, and the first courageous step is opening yourself to the possibility that you are worthy of it.
In our sessions together, I might also draw upon complimentary approaches such as cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy and others when appropriate. My experience includes working with folks of all ages; especially young and middle adults. Whether you’re experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, anything in between, or just struggling with a transition or communication- therapy is a great place to be.
I will provide compassionate presence and patient perseverance, and most importantly, I will journey with you as you uncover the hidden beauty within all aspects of yourself (YES, ALL of you), the power you have within you to love yourself and others fully, and the joy of freeing your natural creativity and inspiration.
[…It’s wrong what they say about the past, I’ve learned, about how you can bury it. Because the past claws its way out. Looking back now, I realize I have been peeking into that deserted alley for the last twenty-six years.] – Kite Runner
