In today’s world, where so much can feel overwhelming and uncertain, therapy offers a consistent base of support—a space to process, to feel less alone, and to simply be. I create a judgment-free and trauma-informed environment where people can feel safe to be themselves and explore their identities.
My approach is rooted in existential-humanist and relational-cultural perspectives, which means I emphasize healthy relationship building, equity in the therapist–client connection, and attention to the systems and external influences that impact mental health. In our work together, I support both the practical—day-to-day tools for coping—and the profound—big-picture, existential themes.
As an art therapist, art making is central to my practice. I integrate the creative process into therapy and enjoy working with people across all levels of creative comfort, from those just beginning to explore art to seasoned artists. So much of our experience as humans is outside of verbal language. Creativity provides a powerful way to process emotions, build insight, and imagine new possibilities.
I value being able to hold space for others through both challenges and celebrations. Some of my guiding principles include liberation for all, disability justice, and celebrating diversity.
Outside of the therapy space, you might find me enjoying Portland’s live music, delicious food, and nearby nature. I also love engaging in my own creative practices and dabbling in many, many hobbies.
