Professional Counselor Associate
Hi, my name is Paxton. It’s nice to meet you! My pronouns are She/Her.

I am happy that you are here and I am excited to work with you. Getting started in or coming back to therapy is a big step in your healing journey, and it is a very brave and courageous thing to do for yourself.
I value spending time building our therapeutic relationship, to help you feel comfortable and safe during our sessions. My work is mostly guided by cognitive-behavioral approaches, acceptance commitment therapy, and mindfulness interventions through a trauma-informed lens. I usually work with adolescents 14 and older, as well as young and middle aged adults, but I can work with adults of any age. I aim to help my clients feel empowered to make changes in their lives that feel good and are geared towards their goals. I encourage acts of self-love, introspection, and acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, offering empathy and safety while working through trauma and other struggles. With personal experience living through the grief of losing a sibling, I want to help you through your grief and loss, finding hope through the pain. Let’s practice how to feel safe in the present moment, feel grounded to the earth, and feel connected to our bodies.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time in nature, traveling, and snowboarding. I have a dog named Nani, and a cat named Kit-Kat!
2017: BS in Psychology: Cal Poly Humboldt
2024: MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an Emphasis in Childhood and Adolescent Disorders: Grand Canyon University
I work with teens and adults 14 and older who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and/or thoughts/actions of self-harm. I also work with individuals who are working through identity issues, wanting to heal trauma they have experienced, or are needing support through life transitions.
I use a variety of modalities, such as, acceptance commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.
