Hello There! My name is Taylor. My pronouns are He/Him.
I believe every person is tirelessly striving to be their best self, given their unique circumstances. This understanding forms the foundation of my approach to counseling. I recognize that life’s complexities often require us to pause, reflect, and intentionally assess our needs for growth and improvement.
My work is grounded in the philosophy that growth is an intentional process, and every step matters. I believe this begins with self-awareness which leads to transformation. By fostering a safe and compassionate space, I aim to help you navigate the ebbs and flows of life with resilience and authenticity. My aim is to help individuals increase self-awareness by providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I can also assist in clients identifying their goals, developing a plan of action, and supporting them in implementing new behaviors and habits. Additionally, I work with clients to address any underlying issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and pains of the past that may be hindering their ability to change. By taking a client-centered approach and using evidence-based techniques, my aim is to help my clients achieve their desired outcomes and reach their full potential.
Before discovering counseling for myself, I felt like I was stuck on autopilot for much of my life. I thought I had little control of the world and was stuck in behaviors and thought patterns that didn’t help my life. After starting counseling, I learned to recognize all the parts of myself that developed to “keep me safe” when I was younger and yet were preventing me from becoming who I wanted to be. By approaching these parts with curiosity and gratitude, I was able to work with these parts to develop a trust that made me capable of controlling my own self and life.
As a counselor I have enjoyed working with a variety of individuals going through a wide range of life experiences. One unique area has been working with individuals who are dealing with sex and pornography addiction. These individuals, despite their best efforts, struggle to stop certain behaviors that are negatively impacting their life. With my work in this area I have come to appreciate the significance of addressing not only the behavior itself, but also the underlying emotional triggers and contributing factors. I strive to help individuals uncover the root causes, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and rebuild a sense of control over their lives.
I have a profound respect for your individual journey, and I would be honored to assist in facilitating your growth and help guide you towards a life imbued with purpose and fulfillment.
