LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hi, my name is Abbey. It’s nice to meet you! My pronouns are She/Her.

Hi, I’m Abbey Laney, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon. This world can be unpredictable, and even though as humans we are naturally resilient and find ways to overcome immense and daunting obstacles, these survival skills often come with challenges and strife of their own.  This can be a perfect time to engage in therapy, to provide the support you might need in your healing journey.

Through empathy, reflective listening, psycho-education, and natural curiosity, therapy can support people with feeling safe to explore the ‘whys’ supporting our behaviors and beliefs – and residually finding freedom through deciding to maintain or let go of beliefs that no longer serve us. Often, the heaviest baggage we carry was once an essential skill for our survival. Through my practice, I work to validate and celebrate this strength while also supporting individuals with finding ways to live that no longer require them to carry such heavy and burdensome weight.

Through introspection and intentional changes, I believe people can live meaningful lives that align with their personal values and goals. What that life looks like is entirely up to you, but supporting people to find and pursue this vision is my life’s passion.

I look forward to working alongside you towards a path of healing and self discovery!
