WWC Cares / COA
Our Mission
Willamette Wellness Center is committed to providing accessible, affirming, culturally and linguistically responsive behavioral health care to Oregon’s diverse communities. We recognize that race, ethnicity, culture, language, disability, socioeconomic circumstances, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and other lived experiences can affect both mental health and access to care. We are especially committed to serving LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and other historically marginalized and underserved communities by creating a welcoming environment where people are respected, affirmed, and able to receive clinically appropriate care that reflects their individual needs.
Our Vision
A future where everyone can receive mental health care without setting aside any part of who they are. Our tagline, “Mental health care for everyone,” reflects that vision—because we mean it.
As a trauma-informed practice, we seek to understand the whole person: their story, identity, culture, relationships, and the experiences that have shaped their life. We want people to feel heard, respected, and supported, whether they meet with us online or in person.
We continually work toward this vision through staff education, client feedback, quality improvement, language access, and partnerships with culturally specific and community-based organizations.
When someone needs services beyond what WWC offers, we help connect them with appropriate resources and, whenever possible, LGBTQIA2S+-affirming and culturally responsive providers—so access to supportive care can continue beyond WWC.
