Being human is tough work. Sometimes, it makes sense to get a different perspective.
I don’t claim to have all the answers. Instead, I ask questions. The majority of our work together is about exploring your responses. You’re the one who knows you best, even if it doesn’t always seem that way. Along the way, you are encouraged to be candid about your needs, desires, fears and challenges. Maybe you’ve never expressed them before. This is bold action but important.
My professional role is to hold our connection in an authentic, safe and non-judgmental environment where you can process and make progress. That connection really pays off if things go dark, by the way. Because, you’re not alone. But therapy isn’t all gloom, we will touch lightness, too.
In our sessions, we recognize trauma, identify and accept feelings, detach from negative beliefs, learn coping skills and, ultimately, we celebrate: your achievements, your growth and your healing.
Since every individual is unique, I will generally combine evidence-based psychodynamic engagement, ACT and mindfuIness in our work. I am actively expanding my education to include effective modalities such as DBT and IFS, as well as incorporating ideas from an area of personal interest: Jungian psychoanalysis.
